Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like the shape of the head tube area of that bike.

Gomez, how (and why) did you get that painted?

Are you going to leave it plain like that or add back some Habanero decals?
It looks good the way it is, though I'm not totally against one or two tasteful
decals.

Congratulations!

I had it powdercoated at a local fabricator. I am thinking about putting Habanero decals back on the downtubes. It was just too plain as it was and I think this spices things up a bit.

Yeah, their plain black decals (found on their non-Team Issue models) might go well with your color scheme.

Posted earlier, but have done a few upgrades since then. The wheels
are build around White Industries hubs. Weight 1266 grams (scaled)
Not bad at all for a 28 / 24 spoked set of wheels

Thanks. I purchased the rims from Corima, France. The White Industries Hubs from U.S. (not too fond of the Corima hubs), and build them my selves. This is my fifth Corima CF build. The price came out at around $1000 + VAT. The price had gone up a bit since I did the last four, and the shipping is (by some reason?) very expensive and can't really be defended for only one set of rims. Still. I cut some good deals and managed to make'em for what I would call a very decent price

Bikes: 8 bikes - one for each day of the week!

Mine's got fat tires, so I suppose it's not welcome here.
