Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes. Dugast made me some special silk tubulars with a red tread because I'm such a wonderful warm human being.

Not really. They are clinchers. The rims are those Mavic Open Pro CD ceramic things. I only got them because they didn't have the normal ones and the shop couldn't move them so I got them for the standard Open Pro price. The tyres are Veloflex. Probikekit rule - $44 each Australian when I got them. I told you normal gum sidewalls pwn black sidewalls for looks.

I do have a some tubulars there if I feel the need though.......

Just won this on the 'bay. Probably a little too much for what it is (Litespeed built I'm sure) but the decals are badass, it's in good shape, and it's my size.

I just quit my job, so it's gonna be a good while before it's built up.

current plan:

Wound Up 1 inch threadless fork w/King headset (steal headset from fixed gear frame I'm selling)
Salsa stem (parts bin)
Nitto tradtional bend bars
Cane Creek levers (parts bin)
Ultegra brakes (parts bin)
Thomson Post (may already have if it's 27.2)
Ultegra 9 - (maybe with downtube shifters)
Shimano 600 cranks (parts bin)
Flite TT saddle (steal from bike I'm selling)
Open Pros or Velocity Aeroheads laced to White Industries hubs by yours truly - 32 front 36 rear, 3x

It's great, just what I wanted. Comfortable and then some. Heavier than lots but I wouldn't trade it for less weight.

You are still a disgrace. Good thing you held back. Marker ink is hard to get off a PC monitor screen

I could always photo-shop it

I am a disgrace, no denying it

It's a good looking bike, nicely balanced looking over all, and it looks like its my size too

Not too bad on the price. Shipping cost is a little rough.
It's nice no matter if it's made in USA or Belgium, it's still a Merckx!

Yeah. $60 to ship is a bit high, but whatever. I bid in the last 30 seconds and didn't bid a penny over the minimum. Figured if someone else wanted it more they could have it.

That shipping isn't bad at all...

I paid about $110 for my Colnago Master (frame only) to be shipped from Germany, however my Litespeed was about $40 from the USA

I been meaning to ask you, what size is your Sienna? And what is you height/inseam? Thanks!
My Siena is a ML, or about a 56, and I have about a 32 inseam/ 6 feet tall.

Thanks for the info on the stem, I may give them a call.
