Haha. No fork yet, and obviously there's been a slight change of plan regarding the wheels. I may be using the 600 cranks for a singlespeed project, so that opens the door to 10 speed.

Major bike musical chairs going on right now.

Way hot - groin grabbingly good. (Hope you don't mind me posting the picture directly...)

Looks like a 59-62cm frame with very aggressive riding position.. and steep headtube angle.. even the nose of the saddle is tilted downward.. hands/arms/shoulders/neck would fatigue easily.. but looks like it suits well for short crits with tight turns.

KRhea 11-07-07 10:38 AM

Classic Merlin set up as a single chainring(44t) 10speed rain bike w/King HS, Ritchey bar/stem, original Ksyrium SSCs, FSA crankset w/Salsa guard, Record rear w/one Record brifter and one Record brake lever, Miche post, Tektro carbon brakes, custom SKS fender job, WTB Devo saddle. One of my favorite rides. So smooth I pray for rain!

NOS Torelli frameset- will probably be built with either Chorus or Centaur and sold
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...s/IMG_0522.jpg

Colnago Titanio- lots of miles and still rides great. For sale soon.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...s/IMG_0527.jpg

Also have a Colnago CT1, no pic available.

RockyMtnMerlin 11-07-07 02:44 PM

Here's my trusty Merlin. About 23000 miles on it in the last five years. Very short Syntace F99 stem and mucho spacers are due to a hip problem - cured by Boulder Center for Sports Medicine with a great fit. Weighs in at under 16 lbs which is not bad for a 61 cm frame. Bold Precision Ti seatpost and King Ti bottle cage. Speedplay Ti pedals. Topolino wheels (which have never had to be trued). Campy Record UT CT drive train and a Look HSC 5 SL fork. Serfas Monaco saddle (not made any more - only one unused one left in a buy of four - anybody sees NOS for sale let me know). Rides like a dream.

If either frame is a 54-55 ctc, please PM me with the particulars (price...etc).

I just quit my job, so it's gonna be a good while before it's built up.

That frame is indeed built by Litespeed. It was built in the Lynksey family days though and is a good quality frame.

I happen to have that exact frame - the AX - I have many miles on it and like it just fine.

That said, I am tempted to sell it as I feel I am too heavy for it, it would be a fine climber with someone lighter than me on it I think.

It will make a nice bike, enjoy it.

Very cool. Thanks for the info. I was wondering if it was a Lynskey-era frame. The welds look pretty nice. I weigh 180-ish so hopefully it won't be too much of a noodle. If I can bring it in under 20 lbs I will be happy.

TMB 11-07-07 08:32 PM

It is not a noodle.

It is also not my MX Leader.

Mine is a 55, SRAM Rival, Regal saddle, 130 mm 3TTT quill stem and steel fork.

wheels are Ambrosio rims, laced to Chorus hubs, 32 and 3X.

The bike is exactly 20 pounds with Look pedals.

Sweet bike. How are you liking the Rival?

My lugged steel Davidson is not going anywhere. :)

As you can see from my sig line, I have a lugged steel bike, or two ............

This is actually the only bike I own that is not Campy and I like it fine.

The shifting is very quick and precise.

I should note that although the rear derailleurs and shifters are SRAM, the crankset is Campy Chorus and the cassette is a Campy 10. Shifting is flawless.

Could you give me some information on those fenders. I've got the same bike and I love that style.
