I'll try and take some pics of my new (well, about 9 years old) Litespeed Palmares. I just scored it on eBay. I put some new bar tape on, new cables & housing, new brake pads, and some new wheels (fairly inexpensive Mavic CXP22 with Ultegra 6600 hubs). I took it for a first ride tonite - sweet. My research on the bike prior to purchasing it showed the Palmares was their top-of-the-line frame. I'll try and get some pics up this weekend.

Anyway, I posted some pictures of my Moots here a while back, but have some better pictures to share this time around. Here you go: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a10...tsreynolds.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a10...ots/moots2.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a10...ots/moots3.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a10...ots/moots7.jpg http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a10...ootsskewer.jpg |

Moots Vamoots 57.5 stock geometry Full Ultegra group w/ 50/34 chainrings and 11/23 cassette Reynolds Cirro wheels and Dura Ace 7801SL wheels Look HSC 3 fork Look EDH bars Look Ergopost 4 seatpost DT Swiss RWS skewers Arione Chris King headset (black) Speedplay Zero Ti (grey) Specialized Stem (this is the only item I'd like to replace) Tacx Tao alloy cages (x2) When all is said and done, the bike is 17.5 lbs with the DA wheels, and probably 100-150 grams less with the Cirros. Not the lightest bike in the world, but it's not too bad either considering the frame material and size. |
Beautiful bike, Marqueemoon!
With much help from this forum (thanks!), I built up this Odonata over the summer, my first build. All DA, Ouzo Pro, Masterpiece, Toupe. Although it pales next to most of the bikes in this post, it was fun to build and the bike suits this old guy like a dream. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3191/...05bb3f6f83.jpg |

How 'bout a Ti Roo Ride !!!! It's my sister's bike. She's selling it now, as she has an injury that keeps her from racing. But man - what a sweet Ti Roo Ride |
Well, through building wheels for a local shop and selling their demo'ed bits, I am fortunate enough to have an endless supply of Ti bikes in the stable:

It's an ML...and I must tell you I thought it would be too small. I had ridden a 57cm Firenze before. The bike shop (Randall Scott in Boulder CO, which I highly recommend) said I'd be fine. They were right, it fits me like a glove.
