Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Recently, I have been going to bed really early and waking up at 430 to get an hour ride in the morning before school. Its just an hour, but i do alot, and the atmosphere is awesome. Sun coming up, chilly air, noone on the road, a lil hazy its just awesome! I love doing a really early ride, im doing it around 4 times a week because i have lax at night and i get home when its dark. Anywho, anyone else do this? if not give it a try its awesome!(and im not a person to wake up THIS early for anything but cycling)

I don't get up early to ride, but I do ride home from work at 5:00am after the night shift a couple days a week. It's quite nice, especially in the summer when riding through Gig Harbor along the waterfront. It's quiet and serene with the water like glass as the sun comes up.
