Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Stylish SeatClamp? Anyone?

I'm looking for a stylish SeatClamp. Just checked ebay, but they all look pretty boring. Anyone has stylish ones that look cool? I'm thinking ChrisKing Headset style finish with colour gold Share your cool looking seatclamp with me...

I know there's some Ti clamps out there.

BTW, how did you manage to post a new thread? I've trying for 20mins with no success. Must be the upgrades Joe is working on.

I don't know if this could be considered stylish, but I love this:

Moots: welded on seat binders!

My old steel Centurion has the same thing. Most old frames are like that. My guess is the OP has a newer frame which requires a clamp.

I know they make some quick release type too. Not sure if that's what you would want though.

I don't know. That's kind of risky if you like to adjust your sit height a lot. You don't want to screw around with $3000 frame .

Stylish? It's a piece of metal that holds your seat. It is functional, that's all.

Okay. I DO know it's functional, but that doesn't mean it can't be stylish.

You'd struggle to find one in gold. I like the Salsa and DKG ones, but as far as I know, they're only available in black or silver.

Nothing stopping you I guess hitting one of them up with oven cleaner, polishing it up and then gold anodising it.

Then all your mates would call you "The Seat Collar Pimp".
