i just bought a set of wheels.
oh boy. well... being the dumb, jobless, having existing debt from bike purchase, college student that i am, i couldnt resist picking up a shiny set of Neuvation R28 SL2's.... So
A. Make me feel better about my purchase
and
B. Is it worth the upgrade to a different cassette, or buy the tool to remove and install mine.( I have 105 now)
and
C. Michelin pro2 or Conti 4k's

B. Buy the tool
C. Conti 4ks, Michelin pro2 get cuts really easily and just don't feel all that great to me, I replaced mine with closeout conti 3ks.

Ditto ^^^
I've been eyeing those Neuvations, lemme know how they ride with the Conti 4000s. What'd you have on your bike previously?

I have the R28 Aero wheelset wrapped in Conti' GP4000 tires. This is a great combination. I use the GP 4000's on most of my wheelsets. When I got my Neuvation's I had a brand new set of Pro 2's and 4k's sitting side by side and could not decide which ones to put on the new wheelset. Knowing that the R28's would be used as an everyday wheelset I decided to go with what I know and mounted the GP4K's on them. The Pro 2's still sit on the shelf, brand new in the package. You will read mixed reviews of the Michelin Pro 2 tires. I decided to wait a little while longer to try them out for myself.

I'm very pleased with the Pro2's. I've not tired the Conti's, but I like the Pros better then other tires I've tired. Also, www.probikekit.com has the Pros for about $26 each with free shipping, for a great deal.

i have the stock Xero XSR3's that came on my giant with the touring tires michelin dynamic.
yes, i only have 400 miles of riding under my belt, but atleast I'll be blingin' while im slow/crashing/etc. hehe. I think I'll give the Conti's a try.

I'm jobless, but not totally broke yet (that's another month away - first thing to go will probably be the motorcycle), and have been itching for a new set of wheels. I think it's an illness.

...still the best years of your life. Try getting away from family for a century on Sat/Sun many years from now. Enjoy those wheels while you can!

I've switched from my Ksyrium SSL's to the R28 Aero. I like the feel much better...not so harsh, but just as quick on acceleration...it's the best wheelset value around....in fact several of my racing teammates have now purchased them and find them to be great at climbing as well!!!
