Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I love cherry pies. Whole Foods (at least the one that was up by my old place in Baltimore) made the BEST cherry pie. The crust was stuff that legends are made of... as well as graham crackers from what I'm lead to believe.... Anyways, worth each of the 15 dollars that they cost (in aggregate).

Apple pie is delicious too. Also, I've been on a recent Key Lime pie kick, since I got back from Miami. Haven't found a place that does them quite like they do down there however.

Comparing overall wins, and stage wins based on these posts its 97 Armstrong, 98 Indurain.

How many Giro stages for Armstrong?

Indurain must have left quite an impression on Lance. Maybe that time trial was the catalyst for something.

As I think you know he won other races. Sort of hard to do the double without riding the Giro. He also came within an unfortunate flat of becoming only the third person in history to do the Triple crown or Golden Triple, depending on which term you like.

Is this supposed to point out something GOOD about Armstrong?

How about this: How many rock goddesses was Indurain banging?

/Game, set, match. I knocked that over the fence for a touchdown on the final lap of the third period.

I can remember a post from a few months ago where some guy said that 1999 was Armstrong's first tour. That's pretty funny.

You call Sheryl Crow a rock goddess?

I assume Indurain was banging hot spanish chicks who were younger than him.

I dunno if I would touch Sheryl Crow with a 10 foot stick, but that's just me.
I'd bet one on one Indurian would beat out Lance. Eventually. Take a bit, but I'd bet Indurian would win.

Okay...how about this:

Lance is totally beating Indurain in the race for least amount of testicles.

/Ooh, that was about 6" below the belt.

And, yes, if Sheryl threw herself at me, I'd take it every day of the week and twice on Sunday...and so would you...and your dad.

I think she's the same age as my dad.
