Ok damit...show me your CUSTOM Wheelsets!!
That $500.00 awesome wheelset thread just doesn't have enough information for my needs. There was alot of talk in the thread about how if you have a custom wheelset done then you could have everything you would want in a wheelset and at a reasonable price.
So..........
If you have a custom wheelset and its cool looking please post some pics here.
And especially post some if they are aero wheels.
Post some with various other spokes, post some mike garcia wheels.
Just post some pics of custom wheelsets.
I think we would all like to see them.

I'll get you some pictures.
Fist of all I think the 30mm rim at oddsandendos is pretty damn nice. That same rim gets put on some prive factory builts too (30mm 455 gram)
But the new DT Swiss RR1.2 coming out next month may be worth looking at if you don't care about a 510 gram weight (it has some nice features on it)https://www.dtswiss.com/index.asp?fus...kedetail&id=16
Personally I would use factory hubs or maybe the white industries ones.

Here are the links to my posts on custom wheels I've had built of late.
https://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/186793-mystery-meat-wheels-can-tasty-treat-pictures.html (Latest wheelset.)
https://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/176763-allez-pro-upgrades-ride-report-pictures.html (This post details more than just the new wheels.)
I also have a set of Mike Garcia Velocity Aeroheads (my first custom built wheels), but I couldn't locate the thread. Nice wheels, even without pictures.

Here is my new custom set that will be at front door tomorrow. 1410 grams, 28f/32r, CX-Ray spokes, White industry H1 hubs, Crostini R3.1/R3.2 rims. I can't wait to ride these bad boys. My builder sent me these pictures just to tease me.

I have a set of gold Tune hubs laced via DT Supercomp spokes to DTRR1.1 rims. Pretty bomber and in the high 1400g mark I believe.
My current dream road wheelset would be Soul-Kozak hubs, laced 28h x2 front/ 32h x3 rear with CXRays to maybe IRD Cadence or Cadence Aero, or Mach1 Magnesium racing rims. Under 1350g, thankyouverymuch.
That's 250g lighter than Ksheepiums. That's over half a pound with no performance loss and no extra cost.

And those new DT Swiss rims sound cool.
More pics people I want MORE!

My next set of wheels will be a custom set of wheels. I'm currently leaning towards DT RR1.1 rims, 28h front and rear. Hubs are still the main variable. Bike is going to be built up full Chorus so perhaps stick with Chorus hubs. I'm going for a light yet still fairly traditional look so no bladed low spoke counts for me.

I don't have any closeups...but anyway, the wheels on this bike are torelli branded ambrosio rims, DT swiss spokes, torelli modular hubs (same weight as record, but cartridge bearing.) I got different color flanges to make the colors go together with the bike. Red rims, green nipples. Salsa Ti skewers.

I don't have any close-ups, but here is a pic taken of my bike last Saturday. The wheelset is a Mike Garcia custom set. Niobium aero rims, Swiss DT hubs (24/28), radially laced front and 2x/3x rear, 1570gr. $429 delivered with a guarantee of satisfaction or he'd make it right.
Basic black all the way around, sturdy and stiff under my 230lbs, and the bike just seems to want to roll all day on them. Just finished my fastest century ever this Sunday - I love 'em.
PS: Please forgive the very un-OCP granny gear pic, but I was taking a break 4 miles from the summit of Diablo, and I wasn't seeing details clearly.....

Rather than repost pictures from last week, just go here https://www.bikeforums.net/road-cycling/193458-mike-garcia-wheels-arrived-today.html for the thread on my new wheels. My weekend starts tomorrow, so the miles will begin.
