Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Question

I am angry.

Part of this is because of my bag that sits under my seat. It won't stay attached on a ride! Could it be because I got it at wal-mart?

Suggestions on a bag that won't piss me off please!

Bikes: A few.

$15. Like it so much I have two and will spec one on every future bike. Holds essentials for break down and that's about it.

Bikes: See signature

No use of velcro, affixes firmly, never comes loose.

I love my Fox racing bag (I know, this just got me kicked out of the OCP). The rails strap is a double-back strap and the post strap wraps around my seatpost twice!

Use an old (or new) toe strap to secure your seatbag.

Pedro's Blowout bag. I have one on my MTB, and like it so much, I'm getting one for my roadie.

Bonus: It's streatchy becasue the walls are made of recycled tubes

I've got a Topeak Wedge bag, comes with a really easy to use and sturdy mounting clip. A breeze to take on and off, but stays 100% secure during rides. I love it.

I use SciCon Elan Road Extra Small seat bag constructed of Nylon / plastic and Anso-Tex brand textured nylon. Attaches under your seat using a Velcro strap. 210cc capacity. Small enough to carry just the essentials without weighing down your bicycle.
Made In Italy.

SciCon is the official bike bag supplier to the US Postal and Navigators cycling teams.

Bottom line. Don't get anything that affixes with velco. Get something with a bar clamp!

Good advice. I didn't know these existed, but I shall look for one now! 'Tis what I need.

Nice! I might get one of those so I don't have to swap mine from MTB to road all the time. My fiancee and I have been on an eco frenzy lately, and this falls right in line.
