Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I know someone who uses olive oil. I use Finish Line dry lube myself.

I think a lot of it depends on the climate you ride in (i.e. wax based vs. oil based). Ask you LBS what they use most.

old school

Hey,
I usually soak my chain in kerosene once a week. If it is wet I use finish line dry in between soaks,or just soak it sooner. I used to run two chains and had on in the soak all the time. This system keeps your chain really clean. For mountain biking I use Pedro's syn lube. I wipe the chain down after every ride and relube before a ride. Toodles,Frogge.

You might as well ask everybody's religion or who they voted for.
