Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sheldon Brown has programming instructions for flight deck and other computers. For Shimano Flight Deck 6500 go to:

The trip meter can be reset to 0 at each use, but I think the only way the odmeter can be rest to 0 is remove the battery, than all the data must be reintered, but the odmeter will be 0

There is an "all clear" button on the back of the Flight Deck. It's a recessed button located at the center of the bottom edge marked 'AC'. The manual simply states "The all clear (AC) button is used to clear the main unit memory." Couldn't find anything more specific than that. Bet that'd do it.

Thanks for the help. I'm better at riding the bike than messing with the computer stuff... really don't want to reprogram the computer.

Thanks again
