Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mounting Vittoria Open Corsa's

Just got my pair of Open Corsa's in the mail. Am I just incredibly weak, or is mounting these on Shimano R550 wheels insanely difficult?

No, they should not be difficult, they may be tight at first, however after the first mounting they go on easily by hand. That is if the Shimano R550 will mount tires such as Michelin's and Continentals easy enough.

The best technique is to use the balls of your palm (where the thumb connects) to roll on the remaining portion. Also, deflate the small amount of air that you put in the tube (or should put in) after the tub e is in place.

same here. I've only had one, and it was a very loose fit.
