Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

This seems odd. . .

I know that this really has nothing really to do with cycling, but isn't it weird to anyone that billards is ALWAYS on OLN(Outdoor Life Network)?

Yeah, I think that's why they're changing the name of the network to "Versus" sometime in Aug/Sep.

One can only hope that the 22 hours a day of bass fishing and deer hunting will leave with the name...

What blows my mind, is I went onto the various news websites and also watched tv that day, and there was no mention of the TDF anywhere. But, every one of them had the hot dog eating contest highlighted like it was some epic sporting event.

Next, they'll have belly-flop world championships, and shut out the NHL to show it.

If I want to see a messy hot dog eater making a pig out of himself, I'll take a mirror with me next time I go to a barbeque.
