Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Advice on THIN gloves

Let me preface this with, I hate wearing gloves, I don't even wear gloves in the winter while riding home at night. However, now that its summer my hands keep slipping off the hoods due to sweat. So I am reluctantly looking for some gloves. I don't want padding, I just want something thin and cool that will grip well. My search at the LBS came up with nothing. Any ideas? Suggestions?
Thanks

I've alway's liked Fox Racing gloves both long fingered and short fingered. I also suffer from a lot of sweaty hands in summer and I need to wear long fingered gloves.

Nike swoosh gloves that Disco uses..... Your trek dealer should have them on sale for $20.00. They are normally 30 bucks but Trek is having their annual TDF sale.

I generally hate wearing gloves, but I've had these for the last couple months and I really dig them.

I still have 2 pairs of Fox gloves (full and short finger) from 3 years ago and they look barely used. Very durable, comfortable, breathable, and have no padding.

+1 for the Nike swooshes...they are thin and wick sweat well. Not to mention that, they look plain but good...nothing flashy. Also, they have good grippers (no padding) on the palm that help for gripping the handlebars, especially in the hot.

I decided to try a pair of Voler gloves. Really like them! Well made. I like the strap on the bottom. Check out https://www.velowear.com/product_deta...03%20GRY%20SML .

+1 on the Pearl Izumi Race gloves.

I have a pair and love them. Gloves for people who hate gloves.

They cost 35-40 dollars a couple of years ago, but now they're down to 20 at my lbs because I don't think they're too popular.
