Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Livestrong Jersey

So there I was today waiting for the ups guy with my new jersey. He finally comes and I grab the package open it up and try out teh new threads. I went with the xxl for a little extra room. I pull it over my head and look in the mirror......and its so tight I can't breath. I have other xxl's that fit fine. I kinda was looking forward to wearing it. Oh well I guess itys going back. Shopping online can be a challenge.

Could you give us your measurements so when we order a Livestrong we won't get the wrong size? I normally take a medium in most jerseys, large in Santini and Exte Ondo. (5'8" 38" chest)

I see some brands of jerseys that list the XXL to fit 40-42... WTF!

Should't it be tight? I got my 1st "real" jersey, it's tight, but it's def my size.

I usually wear a L in PI and Descente (6'2, 42" chest), but the Nike jerseys run small. My Disco and LiveStrong are XL's. In all cases, now that I've lost some weight I favor a tighter-fitting jersey...

It's the euro-cut... Nike has gone with this for their jerseys too. Euro companies tend to make a more form-fitting jersey.

Ha.. I ordered a size 7 jersey last week (stated that size 7 was 42-44in chest - of which I'm a 40-42, but I like my cycling jerseys to have some breathing room)... well, I received it today... it said XXXL on the tag! It was huge!! There isn't much variety of cycling clothing around in stores near me, so unfortunately online is usually my best bet... it's a constant struggle finding something that fits right though.

I recently ordered a Milram EURO Size 2 jersey that hasn't come yet. But my Nike Disco is a small which fits well but not tight enough. I wonder if the european sizes are smaller than american sizes because europeans are typically smaller than americans and not obese.

Same thing with Torelli, I had to go up from my usual Medium to a large to get a fit. I was pretty bummed until my riding buddy explained that it had to be an "Italian" large because they were so scrawny.
