Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

COMPUTER SETTINGS, Km/h********************

Hey guys

Just a quick question. A friend is giving me a cateye os1.1, and I was wondering for this computer, and all computers in general. Is it a basic function to be able to change the km/h to mph????

I imagine it would be, if not, it would make me mad, trying to convert it all the time.

What do you folks do about this? change it? deal with it and convert it mentally?

thanks!

I have never run into a computer that didn't let you set it for either km or miles. Makes good marketing sense to be able to sell the same unit to both U.S and metric markets. No need to do a mental conversion.

Look on the back of it, hit the button with a pen or toothpick...this will reset everything along with the odometer. Go through the settings, such as Max speed, hold down the button that changes your display...you should be able to set up your rim size and if you want mph or kph
