Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How do you feel about Phonak stuff now...

Granted a lot of you don't like the "tour" bikes to start with, but with all that has been going on how do you feel about Phonak branded cycling products now?

off topic but related, I ordered that Phonak jersey for my old roommie (he's a large, they only had large/x-l, saving me the trouble of deciding if I was OCP enough to wear it) and it arrived today. How long ago was that $26 deal? just a couple days ago...

Obsessive Compulsive Poseur. There's a "Search the Forums" thingie at the top of the page. Try that and you'll find out much more than you ever cared to know about OCP.

Cheers.

I think I'll buy a Phonak jersey at the discount price, and put it away for a good long while. 20 years from now it will make an interesting conversation piece on group rides.

I've always liked BMC bikes and still do. I've always hated the Phonak team kits and still do.

What's your point? Is it because of the doping allegations? Who really cares. I believe most pros dope anyways so I do not subscribe to the notion that one team is more respectable than another. I believe you're naive if you think that there is not at least one person on any team that isn't doing something illegal.

I'd feel strange wearing team or ride jerseys unless I was a participant.

anyone who specifically wears the gear that the TDF winner wore, is a huge sap and should also be banned from cycling for two years

That's actually a great idea. I'll do it too and make sure I get the size I think I'll be in 20 years.

NEWS FLASH

At least the Phonak TT bikes were Swiss colors this year, red and black. Don't recall if the other bikes were still green and yellow, probably were though. Green and yellow is the color of baby clothes you get when you have a friend who doesn't care to know what sex the baby is, not a great color for a team.

Their bikes are very high tech and superlight. The Easton stuff they run with is amazing, I have an Easton fork and post and they just rule. This nanotube tech they have is the bomb.

the new jersey has an ear on it people! An EAR! there's nothing hard core about that...no matter how many TDF's you win.
