Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have a Cateye Mity 8 on most of my bikes. Love it, rock solid, easy to use, great computer. I do have a Flightdeck on the tandem, and my wife wanted one on her bike. I use a Garmin as well, but not every ride. The Cateye is cheap, works great, and my fav. Before the Cateye I used a couple Vettas, but had touble with all of them.

I have to chime in late for the Cateye Astrale 8 also. Love the cadence feature, reliability, and cost.

Echowell F2. I have had this for six months and love it. It is wired and has cadence. Like the Astrale, all pickups are on the rear so I can use it with my trainer. I got it for $32 at my LBS.
