Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What PSI are you using on your Giant OCR?

I picked up a Giant OCR2 last weekend and have been whipping my ass into shape. The guy at the LBS recommended 100 PSI, maybe 105 on a cold day. The tires are rated for 125 PSI. I've been running mine right around 100 and it seems to do fine. What are you using?

PSI is a function of rider weight, condition and tires.

I wish there was a unversal code for this -- like touching the side of your nose in "The Sting" -- until we have that code:
Sheldon Brown has a great article about this.

I weigh 153lb and run 120psi on my OCR1. The stock Michelin Dynamics have long been swapped out for Pro2 Race tires though... Max PSI on the sidewall is technically 116, but my preference is to have it up there anyways. I'll lower the psi depending on road/weather conditions when I check the pressure every morning.

I run at 105psi in the Micheline Pro2Race's that came with my OCR C2. I think the sidewall on the tire says 90-110 or 90-105. I have 1500 miles on them and have had no issues.
