30 Gram Saddle?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

30 Gram Saddle?

Selle Italia's C30 has integrated rails and weighs an incredible 30 grams thanks to variable thickness, double weave carbon fibre shell and was designed by Mark Paroly of New York's Design House.

Thats 11 grams less than a Green Apple PowerBar Gel! So, I guess you could eat 1.36666666666 of these.

30g? What are the rails made out of? Are they CF as well???

I do have a CF saddle, but with Ti rails. It's heavier than that but really comfortable...that's mainly because
it fits really well with its ergonomic shape. I used it on a 206 mile road race and my butt was the least sore of all the body parts at the end of the thing. lol.

I think it looks awesome and it fits should be your backside it will be just fine. I guess I'd be a little nervous unless I weighed 130lbs or something. I can't imagine the price because the claimed** 64g C64 from Selle Italia is around $350. I bet that new model will be twice the price at first.

I have a carbon seat/ti rails and it weighs in at a portly 106g. I've done two centuries so far and haven't found it to be any less comfortable than my previous Forte Pro SLX saddle.

** If past weights are any indication the C64s usually weigh in around the mid 70g range. This new one won't be quite 30g but I'll bet it will be down in the mid 40s and that is still very light.

A 30 gram saddle is fine if you have a 30 gram ass to put on it.

With the standard philosophy of one dollar per gram saved, this thing should only be $384. Sweet!

There is no way that could possibly be comfortable. I would love to hear some real world experiences.

Slippery when wet?

Beautiful to look at, for sure.
I would be interested to read real life reviews.

Read the link, the rails are integrated. The whole thing is basically one piece.

That saddle is a beautiful thing to behold. I'd want to know how durable it is before I shelled out the bucks I imagine they'll ask for.
