Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikes: 04 giant ocr 2 - she's bonfied

Thanks to all those who love kleins

After searching for what felt like i life time, i finally found my new love... i mean bike. But who knows maybe with this new bike... i will find a new love. Back on topic.
I searched the internet, interagated numerous bike shops, ask riders on the road, talked to guys from bike clubs, and probably a very benficial factor were these forums.
It came down to a monertary cap and then a few different frames.
But all that matters is my new blue Klein Q-Pro. I herd a lot about how incredible the feel of their alum frames and the test ride proved all that rumors to be true. Also with recent rumors of well "klein in de-klein" i felt even more pulled to their beauty. Finally what did it for me was the custom paint job done.
Though i would have liked to seen the all carbon fiber klein, i'm very happy with my q-pro.
Finally, i wanted to try something other than shimano. So it came to Campy or SRAM... and with all the talk about SRAM... well i went with the SRAM rival group. Only thing that isn't part of the rival group are the SRAM force brakes. Some mix up in the order... all i care is it didn't cost me anything more
The rest of the bike is made up of:
Thompson seat post and stem
Biomax pro ritchey bars
Terry Fly Ti saddle
Mavic Kysrium Wheels
Michellin Pro Race tires
Time RSX pedals
rough weight is 16.5 lbs
and a whole lot of love

Anyways, thanks and i hope all of you who appreciate Klein enjoy this post...
and of course here are the photos

Great looking bike. What is custom about the paint though? In your pic it looks basic blue. Very nice all the same though. Enjoy her....now get out and ride!!

Kleins have been pushed out by their evil stepsisters, Trek and GMC Denali.

I love their frames and their paintjobs. Unfortunately, my LBS couldn't sell very many of them and dropped Klein in favor of Orbea.

I don't think I've ever seen a Klein paint color that I didn't like. Enjoy!

Nice Klein!!!

I feel ya about the "klein in de-klein", made my recent Klein build all that more special, since we may not be seeing very many new ones in '07 and beyond.

Hey guys, I asked earlier but did not get an answer. What defines a custom paint from Klein? Do they offer standard colors or are all of them considered custom paint?

This color is not a standard color(The Klein 2006 models are red or artic white). The frame was painted blue at the request of the frames original owner, the sales man at the lbs.

i hope this clears it up a bit...
I mean its not custom like with flames on the side and my name sketched into it... but it was made for one specific patient.
