Vuelta XRP: what is it?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Vuelta XRP: what is it?

What is this brand, Vuelta that makes components (wheels, cranksets) with the name XRP on them. They have a carbon crankset that corresponds price-wise with some of the higher-end FSA components. Any things about them?

The only Vuelta XRP stuff I've seen have been cheap very heavy (2000g+) aero wheels on ebay sellers associated with small bike shops. Haven't seen any crank sets on par with FSA sets.

Yeah it's very odd when I run across a cycling company that sells a full lineup of (performance) wheels yet no one else knows anything about them. The only reason I ask is because I was hit by a car not too long ago and replaced my front wheel with a Vuelta XRP aero-spoke. I didn't choose it for any other reason than its price and my desperation at the time. So far, they've held up very nicely. My only complaint is that the front wheel is heavier than my old Alexrim. Anyway, just wanted to know if anybody knew anything about them. Thanks.

Seems there are some nicer sets out there by the company, but the set that my buddy got from "bikeisland" on ebay stated it was like 1800g, but they felt heavier w/o tires than my Ultegra/OP WITH tires and tubes.

I have been riding Vuelta XRP Pro's on my Motobecane Vent Noir for over ~1000 miles now and they have stayed true. Haven't noticed the weight, but then again it's my first roadie, so I can't compare to much. I like em, they look sweet...
