Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

If you Really like it you shoud buy it. Personally I like road bikes, and wouldn't pay 10 bucks for it; but that's me. Hell if I had an extra 500 bucks I know of a couple different front wheels my road bike would like to have.

So is a 100 spoke rim like riding a disc?

On the plus side I bet you could hit a crater the size of manhatten and not have to true up those wheels.

Hey at least you don't have to carry a bag with spare tube, patch kit etc. You got a spare riding on the back
