Sorry about your dog. :(

Now that we got the obligatory condolences out of the way...dude, if you gain a little weight and become a big handsome stud like me, you can coast down them hills at way better than 29mph! :D

Lithuania 10-24-06 08:06 PM

why do you keep making these threads?

cycle17 10-24-06 08:17 PM

First sorry about your dog.

Now...as my friend Chipcom is so good at pointing out:

R600 Dura Ace has once again posted one of his classically idiotic posts about him wondering whether some poor guy out riding is trying to drop him in Central Park while he carefully watches his wattage meter...errr dial...errr...flux capacitor to make sure he doesn't pump out too many jiggawatts of energy and warp through back through time.

I digress.... adding the fact that his dog recently died while sad, is a brilliant way to insure that we respond to yet another R600DA thread. I'll give him this..he ain't very bright, but he's entertaining in a twisted shake your head kinda' way. A classic tool if ever there was one.

AzureDrpTp 10-24-06 08:22 PM

Personally, i don't believe there ever was a dog. Yeah, I said it. It had to be said.

I agree with blonduathlongrl on this being another pile of the usual*#@$

slvoid 10-24-06 08:38 PM

This is pretty unlike me: But, both times I've met victor, as arrogant as he might've been, he was pretty quiet and reserved, he seemed like a nice guy. But... we have all read his posts.. so....

DrPete 10-24-06 08:43 PM

Sounds like Central Park would be a nice place to cool down and end your workout after a long ride... Hmm...

Or maybe the guy just went home because he was done riding.

Yawn.

WithanF 10-24-06 08:44 PM

This is the best article you'll ever read about the passing of man's best friend.

Sorry about your dog.

It's the Guggenheim incidently: http://guggenheim.org/new_york_index.shtml

Check it out. Maybe in your downtime between imaginary races.

kmart 10-24-06 10:38 PM

Can someone please make a YTMND of this guy? Please?

EDIT: Something along these lines will do ;)

I hope to see you in the park someday, so I can watch in awe as you dial it up to 400w and leave me choking on your tire dust.

I'm moving to New York just so I too can behold the magnificent cycling dolt that is...R600Dufa-Ace.

Actually, ya know, I bet he's fun to ride with. You'd be all, like, imagining his stream of 'consciousness', what's going on in that noggin as he desperately clings to your wheel and wheezes and curses...

"I was only drafing to keep his computer in my view as my batterage had gone dead unspectly, thus causing me to have no idea what my output might be, probaly at least 275, mabye peaking 420 on hills. I could tell he was working hard, harder than I would at this sppeed, and I fought back a laugh. Next time, if he gets in my way, and I have full operating power meter, he will pay"

Hey Victor, all in fun, love your posts, and seriously, if I make it out to NY I'll give you a ring and let you kick my ass.

Funny though I began to gain ground on him on the descends. I was very close to his wheel as we were passing 125th street exit.

You're either losing your touch, or losing your sense of direction.

Where, pray tell, is there an exit in CP at 125th street? Kind of difficut, when the northern border of the park is 110th street.

ovoleg 10-25-06 02:28 AM

I told you to calibrate the dial to 450w but nooo...

I really loved that old thread, so classic!

No, a classic tool would be the hammer or the screwdriver. Those are useful tools.

Sorry to hear about your dog....but wouldn't have to garner your 'first' win in order to dedicate your 'next' win?

Sorry but your constant I dropped so and so posts really set up up for this.

Sammyboy 10-25-06 06:05 AM

He kept trying to get away, because he knew if you got past him, you'd give him "the look".

whitemax 10-25-06 06:17 AM

You've heard of the Guggenheim have you? I designed it, I was dialed in at 400 watts at the time. Art Vandelay is the name.

matthew_deaner 10-25-06 06:19 AM

OK - noobie question...
How does he know how many watts he is putting out? I know that is what a powertap hub is for, but can you see the watt output while riding? I thought you couldn only download all the data later...

When you're R600DA, you can do anything (well.... except winning bicycle races). I even heard he could count to infinity, twice.

I am just glad to be in the south where we simlpy wave and say stuff like "Hey, y'all when" we see other riders. Much easier.

Sorry about your dog.

Unless you're in Fort Worth, where you have to 'carry' to protect yourself from the homeless. :D

Ryleeryno 10-25-06 06:46 AM

Is the Prospect Peloton still on the lookout for you?

jwc3 10-25-06 06:52 AM

I was in Central park this weekend with my kids. Kinda hard to find a hill in there. According to Google Earth, the highest point in the park is only 120 ft above sea level.
