Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bianchi Vigorelli

I feel stupid for even having to write this, so flame me all you want. I saw this 2004 Vigorelli frame selling on craigslist. It's a 51cm...just my size. I went down and everything looked nice. I'm just about to pull the trigger when I notice a sticker on the back of the seat tube near the bottom bracket. It reads "100% Chick Designed". I thought maybe it was put there by an owner, but it's under the clear coat. I say...whoa...this is a girl's bike...I'm not confident enough in my manhood to get a bike that is designed for women so I pass. I've been looking around on the web today and there is absolutely nothing that would indicate that this is a woman's bike. So...what's the deal? Is it a woman's bike or was that sticker there because it was a small frame or was it something else?

It's not a women's bike. It was designed by a woman who works (or worked) for Bianchi USA. I forget the name. but she is a well respected designer. Get the frame.

The sticker is there because Sky Yaeger, a "chick," designed the bike.

Yeah. Sky Yaeger is (or was) Bianchi USA's chief designer - It's sort of a Bianchi inside joke. Don't worry about it.

We all males came out a woman's thing at one point, does that make us ******s?
