Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Knee to Elbow at 3 o'clock

I would like to get some responses concerning total reach in practical terms. On your next ride, put your hands tight into the bend of the drop bar, below the brake levers-is that called the hooks? And with your pedal at 3 o'clock-straight forward, and your forearms parallel to the ground-what is the distance from your knee to your elbow? Just curious as to how much variance there is in the top tube/stem length/ fore aft seat position areas. Thanks!

it will be according to what bike your on. I have one bike that is a tight sprinter, and my knees can actually touch my elbows if I dont tuck them in.
