Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Ok, here's my new Lemond I got as a replacement for a defective frame from my 03 Ti- Victoire. Although the whole process took a few months to get the new frame from Trek-Lemond, it was worth the wait. I dig the overall look and got a chance to ride it over the weekend and compared to the Ti it rides like a hot knife through butter. (The Fulcrum's are also a big step up from the Race Lites I was used to. I've also trimmed down the steerer tube since this pic.) I think seeing the frames and colors in person is quite a bit different than what you see on their website.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Oops, It looks like I am having issues uploading the pic. I'll look to upload it again when I get some time.

Well, a month ago I bought a 07 Triomphe Zurich. I haven't seen a picture of these bikes that do them justice. Even though it's carbon it has a classic aura about it. Man, I love the way mine rides. It climbs so well I can sit back with a cup of coffee reading the Sunday comics and I've made it over the crest ready for a fast descent.

Best of all it "feels" like a Lemond bike.

I have a 02 Nevada City. I have had it 5 years now and I still love it. I know its not their high end model. I will be upgrading the groupset to campy centaur in a few months and I have upgraded the wheels but I still get compliments about the bike (blue and white) I wouldn't sell her for the world.

The Tourmalet appears to still have the old style, which I have to admit I like better. The new jobs aren't bad, I just like the look of a "classic" Lemond so much better. Never actually owned one, though I did almost buy an 04 Poprad.

I think I'd like it better without the deal overlapping onto the seat tube. As it is, it reminds me of the gar fischer hybrid I used to have er, just the paint though.

Now, the new Madone is looking better to me, with similar geo, and easier to size (two models)--and, a larger size that would work a little better for me than the current Lemond, but I'd like to try both.

Here's my 2000 BA I repainted w/o the color field around the logos, so I could get a cleaner look.

It's a 2005 Versailles. I should mention that it's for sale sans the Spinergy wheels.

Ahh, as much as I would love too, I'm not quite in the market, as I got mine last September as an '06 closeout.

I've got an '06 Zurich. I bought my bike because I thought the steel and carbon was pretty unique. The new LeMonds really don't seem to be all that special.

Peel those decals off the wheels and you're in business.

I think the ne wbikes look better "in person" than in photos but I still prefer the previous scheme.... mine is blue/black/white.

isn't that aluminum and carbon mix now? The paint isn't bad but the aluminum/carbon spine technology is what RUINED the bike. Glad I got a 2006 Zurich. Steel and carbon! Ride is awesome.

A Lemond Etape was one of three bikes I was choosing between. I choose not to go with the Lemond because it used shimano componenty and I was lied to about the frame at the LBS. It is in fact made in taiwan. I found a croix de fer which was very nice, but it to was only available with shimano, which pulled it out of the running.
