Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Bikeforums Kit Order Update

Communicated with the Vendor this morning. The original fax order can't be found on their end (fax confirmation on my end says it went thru). Maybe it was lost in the pre-Thanksgiving vortex. Such is life.

So I re-faxed this morning and the vendor confirmed receipt. No word yet on expected delivery date.

Sorry for the delay, but there you have it. I will post updates in this thread as they become available.

Thanks for taking on this project - especially since you had already received your jersey from the first order back in August!

SpongeDead?

Heh. Thanks for the update, and hey, they're done when they're done. 'Course, now I'll stop looking on the doorstep 3 times a day.

Vendor sent me an email today indicating 6-8 weeks. So it won't be under the Christmas Tree, Hanukah Bush, etc but that just means you have something to look forward to in the post-Holiday slump.

Vendor says order is scheduled to ship this week.

I'm on the road next week, but if I get the order before the weekend, I will try to get out.

Oh go get some XC skis and enjoy all that snow. Man I can't believe it hasn't snowed yet this year...my son has been asking why it isn't...so I blamed Liberals.

Believe me ... you're not the only one waiting to go skiing.

Thanks for the Kit update!

Bill - We'll have grab Kuma and do a full on DC BF Kit ride if the weather stays clear.

I'm in, although given my recent layoff (1 or 2 rides in the last month), I'll be pulling up the rear!

The orders have arrived.

I am in the process of double checking and sorting into oversized envelopes. There's no way I'll have this completed in time to mail out today, but I will try to get this done so that I can mail them out Monday morning.

Excellent! When you first reported a delivery date in the January/February time frame, all I could picture was me riding up the B&A trail in my BikeForums kit freezing my keister off because it was waaaay too cold. But here we are in January and it was nearly 70 degrees out!

P.S. I did go on a ride today.

The orders have been double checked and were complete - should have them ready to go for Monday shipment.

Please note - I will be out on business all next week. I'll try make a post confirming shipment.

+1, if enough people get together for Order #3 SpongeDad has mentioned that it will be a go. However he will not be organizing it. I might depending on the responsibilities involved and if living in Canada is a deciding factor
