Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Good price for a pair oof Ksyrium Elite?

Have a chance on getting a pair of Ksyrium Elite's at a LBS for 350$.

Not sure if I need, or really want the,m, but the price seems OK, and they could be a nice pair of training wheels, and I can save my SLs for races.

Is it a good price?

TIA

I'm not sure. Does it matter?

Of course I can find a better price on a pair of training wheels, but I wanted to see how good of a deal this was - which lead me here.

Thats not a bad price. I bought a set of 06s brand new from a guy on Craigslist for that a while back. I think they routinely go a little cheaper on Ebay but the shipping might be brutal.

You coulda got a set for $342.00 from Performance Bike had you acted on their last 20% off sale. Course, the shipping would have been probably $50.00 unless you shipped them USPS and then you might not get them before the ground thaws.

I see them all the time on ebay. People literally take them off their brand new bikes and sell them, tires included. Give it a shot...

You asked if it was a good price, I told you what a good price was.

If you have an LBS that will sell you a set for $350.00, that's great. Around here, you wont walk out of an LBS with a set for under $600.00 which is why I normally don't buy much from the LBS's.

If your just going to use them for training, buy a pair of Akysium's. I have them on my Orbea. Rock solid.
