All of the sudden I realized that I too could care less. Does that sentence need commas?
Most of the snow has melted off (off of? grammar police, please assist!) the roads, but the shoulders are covered in a thick layer of coarse sand. The roads being busy and drivers being what (who/whom?) they are, I stayed in and made and (oops) enormous pot of chicken curry. PM me for the recipe. While it simmered, I laboured away on the trainer.

It was very nice here too, in the 60's and sunny. I was stuck in home depot with my hubby for hours picking out wood floor. By the time I got out of there I had to go to work, I was going mad and wanted to scream! but I pretended nothing was wrong since Im trying to be a good girl in order to get my wheels for christmas

Just got in from nearly 2 hours in 40-44 degree temps. Wasn't too bad, other than the fact the cold weather makes me pee.

Aaaah Gainesville. Unfortunately I left in '90.

BTW, I gather from your posts that you're a professor on campus? I work over in the bryant space science center (the "NERDC" building).

But we still have the salty dog, steamers and caribbean spice.

An accurate desciption for sure. Used to hang out at the Salty Dog quite a bit. I was doing an M.A at the time and Alan's was more popular with us "older" students. I gather there's a newer version of the Porpoise? Since we're way OT anyways;what killed Skeeters? I'd have thought that was like having permission to print money.

They eventually branched into new businesses, and started the "Cafe Risque" chain of dancing establishments. Jerry Sullivan (owner of skeets/cafe risque) died of a heart attack this past October.
Now we have a 43rd street deli on every street, but they're not open late at night.

The first place I lived in Gainesville was occupied by Asher just before me. He sure did get a lot of mail from the IRS that had to be forwarded.
And BTW today was a gorgeous day to ride. I took off a little after 3 when it was 76 F and no wind. Even a flat tire could ruin the vibe. Yesterday was nice as well, but a bit windy.
And "Yes", Kensuf, I am a prof at UF. Going out for a ride after grading for a couple of hours is good therapy.
