Giro to Met Stradivarius
Anyone swapped from a Giro to a Met recently. I need your experience on sizing issues. I have a Giro Pneumo medium now and I want to swap it for a MET stradivarius 2. I was going to just go for a medium MET (they only do two sizes Medium and Large). However I have since had some advice saying tha the Medium measures up small and I may need a large. I have not got a local stockist within 50 miles for me to try one on so I will have to go online and order. Of course whichever online retailer I use I will make sure I can swap it, but it would be nice to get the sizing right first time. SO I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has a MET Stradivarius 2 to see what they ended up with sizing wise.

Can't comment on Giro fit, but I have a Bell Ghisallo and a Met Strad, both large size. The Bell fits with plenty of adjustment left, and has room for a heavy winter cap underneath with a few clicks left on the knob. The Met barely fits over my bare head, with no room even for a thin skullcap. My head measures a little under 60 cm, the Met large size is supposed to fit 58-61cm.
With a sea of Giros on the road, I love the different look of the Strad, but with my receded hairline I need to have something covering my head most of the time, so the Met usually only gets used on shorter fair weather rides where I don't get too much sun exposure thru the vents & don't need to wear a warm cap or skullcap to absorb sweat.

SO it would seems
So it would seem that Met's sizing is a little out based on the quoted measurements. My head is exactly 57.5 cms. WHich makes a medium Giro fit perfectly in the middle of the medium range (55-59). It fits really well, so I suppose everyone wonders why I want to change it. It is purely because I have ridden with Bell and Giro for 10 years or so, and I just fancy a change
