Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well I must say I have enjoyed surfing BF all day long while at work but something in a SS/FG thread (like that is a shock) tripped the alarm in my company's IT dept and got BF on the banned web site list...so I am screwed.

I will post in the evenings, mornings and weekends still...but I will miss you guys during the day.

If you really have an addiction you can run the Babelfish translator from Altavista.com. Translate BF from Portuguese to English.

I did it when I worked for the SS - er, I mean MSN.

And if they're blocking the IP, you can tunnel your connection through a home computer. Go through the tunnel!

Most work places also ban anonymizer as well. Crafty little tech men. What you can do, is get a random proxy server and just proxy your way into BF. Theres plenty of free proxy websites out there.

Lol thanks for the support gang...I am going to try to rehab my ways and do some actual work...this coul dbe a good thing...on the other if I got fired it wouldn't be so bad either...I am talking about quitting at the end of the summer when my son goes to first grade anyway...I want to be able to pick him up from school and not have to pay for daycare in the afternoons. My wife's new job is bringing in just about enough to actually pull that off, so I will look for a part time job that gets me out of work at 2:30 or so.

Eh whatever...I will be here when I can.

Do what I did, become self employed! I don't know what field you are in, but if you can get by on a part time salary, there may be some type of home based job you could do. I am home for my son when he gets off the bus, plus I can ride everyday without getting fired! That is important when you live in a place with as much sunshine as we get here. It was 80+ and sunny today, I really enjoyed my daily 20 mile ride. (If it was cold and snowy where you live, just read the above as "what a lousy ride today, the wind was howling, I sweated like a pig and got sunburned really bad and . . . .")

Now, convincing your wife and friends that you really do work is a tougher problem.

Naaah!. It was 72, and sunny here. I'd be willing to guess GC's weather was about the same. I actually got to ride in shortsleeves, and bib shorts for the first time this year. Nice

Oh the joy and the glory... Ok I am not sure what happened yesterday but I know I am going to avoid the SS/FG forum for a while. Someone in IT likes me I think. phew.

run a ping to the site and get the IP address. type that into the address bar instead of www.bikeforums.net and see if that works. they usually ban sites by the sites name and not the IP address.

"Hi Sub."

I need to slow down here too. I have no clue what I think I'm going to miss.
