Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

More #%@! Snow...

I was out skiing with the kids yesterday in 60 degree weather...

Nothing like turning the boards in mashed potatoes...

The snow in the yard is down to a foot or so...Ice is melting nicely off the pond...

Now they're calling for 12 - 18" of snow Friday into Saturday...

I'll see you on the road in a few weeks...

Tell me about it. Southern PA is suppose to be getting 2-5 inches tonight.... but it was over 60 yest.! I don't want any more snow. The salt is finally off the roads and I did my spring overhaul already (change cables, relube screws etc.) and don't want another salt encrusted bike!

Look at the bright side: it's good for the local economy.

Looks like I am on the edge of 1-3 and 3-6 acording to accuguess. With as warm as it has been I bet it doesn't really pile up or last long. Here is to hoping anyway.

No idea what Vermont is getting and Im double checking on my whole foot statement, guess you can take that with a grain of salt since Im known to overreact when it comes to snow ( No idea why Im Canadian) It is going to snow for three days though!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, maybe two

VTer here as well. Looking like a foot+ then coold for a few days.

Lots of rivers are at there breaking point on my drive in this AM.

I am committing to new bike and that is why it is snowing. I bought new skis this past October and that is why it did not snow until Feb.

Next year...no new toys so Mother Nature can do her thing and stop punishing me.

Sorry about that guys...

I guess it won't be so bad here this weekend after all. I was b*tching about 60 degrees on Saturday and Sunday. Of course, it has been 80 for the last three days...

You know, the economy is really growing in the Southeast and the cost of living is low...

I feel your pain. I went out for a ride yesterday in 60 degrees and this morning it is 30 degrees and starting to snow a little. What a tease!

I can top that. In SoCal its been in the mid to high 80's for the past week or so and it reached the 90's this past weekend. nothing but shorts and flips flops for me.

At this point, one more week on the trainer doesn't even bother me anymore. Heck I don't even remember how my bike road outside.

Snow days are fun though.

F-ing whistle pigs, ground hogs, pigs whatever...Those rodents piss me off, this year they colluded between Wiarton ON, and Puxatawney, PA to f*ck with our heads.

Never trust a ground pig..don't lend them money.

Honestly, I'll take snow over that rain/snow mix we had down here. All that crap turned to ice and is taking forever to melt. Every ride is followed by a rinsing of the bike to remove all the friggin sand and salt.
