Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Yes, my first pair of Zipps!!!!

I always knew this day would come. The day I could finally say that I own a pair of Zipps. I just know that I will be faster now and I'll be able to drop everyone that I ride with! Everyone will bow and worship me when they see my beautiful Zipps!

Nope, I'll have them at the Mid-Ohio raceway though.

Here's the before and after weights.

Old cages.

New cages.

Oh yeah, I also picked these up today.

A little bit of weigh savings compared to the old ones.

I should be getting in my chorus rear derailleur tomorrow. That should have the bike pretty much done for a while.

for all those guys who care so much about what their water bottle cages weigh, i say just put 1 ounce less water in your bottle. you will notice a greater weight difference.

That's funny, but who weighs their bikes with water bottles? Sheesh, some people.

Seriously though, why would someone want to carry less water? Most of my training rides are 50 - 60 miles, I like having as much water as possible.

What self respecting weight weenie wouldn't??? Besides, we all know. It's not how you ride or how comfortable you are riding that's important. It's looking cool and having the lightest bike on the internet!
