CTS field test
anyone familar with the book or with the actuall program, i was wanted to do the field test but i do not have a heart monitor, my gym has stationary bikes and was wondering if i used that would it produced a differnt heart rate than if i rode it on my bike

Get a heart rate monitor....I would suggest the Polar F11.

Yes, pick up a HRM. That way you can replicate it during your other trainings. You can pick up a good new HRM on ebay for less than $40.

you'll need a way to monitor your output. cts likes power meters, but you can also use an hrm.
