Don't sell the bike now.
Sell it once you have a second baby. THEN you won't have any time to ride.
Seriously, it's a tough transition, but things will settle down soon. You and your wife can take turns minding your child while the other has a little hobby time on the weekends and such. Right now everything's exhausting, but that will pass quickly.
I had one sleep-proof baby and let it go on waaaayyyyyy too long; it was having a negative affect on the life of everybody in the family. If you get to that point, I really recommend you and your wife both read Dr. Ferber's book on baby sleep. It works, and fast.
Something else you should know: many kids hate bike trailers, or only enjoy them for a half-hour at most.

I have twins who just turned 3. It's possible to ride, you just have to be a lot more creative about how you get in your miles. I get most of miles on my commute or early, early, early morning. For a year or so, my typical weekday morning was to get up before dawn, out on the bike for an hour, back in the house, warm up two bottles, change two diapers, wake up my wife, jump in the shower, dress for work, kiss everybody bye, and back on the bike for an easy bike commute to work. Obviously this doesn't work for everyone's situation but it worked for me.
We also bought a trailer and on weekends I'll pull the kids and ride with my wife. You can start pulling your kids when they're about a year old. I know it doesn't seem like it now, that will be here before you know it.
Good luck! And congratulations!

I have two kids -- a 3 year old and a 1.5 year old. As noted by others, life changes completely every few months with the little ones, it seems. As someone else noted, not all kids like the trailer; mine are good for about 30 minutes before the complaining sets in. I get my riding in on my commute to work (about 23 miles a day). Even then, some weeks I don't get a lot in if the boys are acting out. However, I never considered getting rid of the bike. The times I do get out for a long ride, which are few and far between, are that much better. My 3 year old is also riding his bike now -- I keep looking forward to the time a few years from now when we can go on longer rides.
Or, to echo others, don't sell the bike. You will find time to ride.

Most excellent! Reward yourself with a bike when the kid gets bigger. Better yet, purchase a tandem when he gets old enough.... add a kid stockers (sp?) kit and put him to work.
