New Kits, what you think?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

We don't need as many seats because so many of us are out riding. Gotta win the NCCA champs somehow

They regularly pack 110 into the Beav and the Big House. I haven't been back to College Park since I was a little boy but the sound coming from Beaver Stadium that day made me cry. I go to another big school now, but it doesn't come anywhere near that. My dad used to work for the rec department when he went there, and his roommate was the son of the football/basketball announcer, so they would go to the ticket office, walk up to the head dude, address him by name and then persuade him that they needed an extra 5 tickets at the 50yd line.

[QUOTE=3MTA3]you can try & try, but you will never have anything on this place:

I can now understand the need for the checkerboard; but w/o it's history, I would never place it on my jersey. It looks better on the stadium than on a jersey.

Maybe if the black were separated from the orange more to keep the classic UT athletic uniform look without looking like a creamsicle? Love the checkerboard.
Orange and White works, see top of https://www.texascycling.org/

Tennessee has the road cone orange. Very convenient for their fans to wear their jumpsuits to pick up trash on the side of the roads saturday mornings and not have to change to go to the game.

The color is more of a mango not OSHA orange. Texas has a more burnt orange. Sounds like there is some hate toward UT not sure exactly why but I guess you love the school or hate it.

meh, i don't know about that. i think it would look *similar* to slipstream's argyle jerseys & if done right i think it could look great... maybe down the side or a stripe across the sleeves...

maybe as a slipstream down the sleeve, if it were narrow. I'd go for that. A large mass at the base of the jersey, I think it's too much.Or maybe a band atop the club socks. But, it's their team.

Last year was our first year back as a club since '98 so it was a learning year for the whole design. We also had the designning done for free so that is why it is not as refined as it could be. I think the checker pattern around the sleeves of a band around the chest could be more tasteful than last years kits. Dunno I will have to start coming up with some new ideas for the fall.

THe checkerboard is a part of the UT tradition and should be included. If I were to wear it, it seems a little goes a long way and should be included as some kind of border and not the whole jersey.

I have one of the World Jersey's UT designs. Looks good and very bright - great for being seen. Put me on the list for the next order. The current jersey looks good, but like you say could use a little refinement. I hate to say it but some of those Gator team jerseys look good as well. IU also has a good looking team jersey.

Got to include some checkerboard.
