Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cannondale weight

Hey all--

Just bought a Cannondale R500 (either '05 or '06)), dark blue, matte finish. Nothing has been changed out...completely stock.

Anyone know what this bike might weigh? Just wondering...

My Caad8 R1000 with Ultegra is 19.2 to 19.5lbs with pedals. You should be a pound heavier due to parts selection.

My Caad7 R2000 is about 20.5 or 21 with non-original wheels, tires and seat (all heavier than original ... I'm going backwards!).

My guess is that OP's weight will be 21 give or take. But weigh it with a bathroom scale.
