Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I respect the quality of the waterford, but personally i don't think they are all that good looking. Function and form aren't always related in bikes.

What exactly does that mean? The predominant look of bikes built in the last 2 years appears to be bigger and more decals, so the bike looks like something out of NASCAR. If I am passing someone, I am not going to look over, see the companies web address on the seat tube, reach into my pocket for my PDA and bring it up on my wireless Internet connection.. This only works for the Starbucks crowd.

I think it meant that ekimyel disagreed with your opinion.......and so do I. My eye prefers the lines of the newer, racier lines of the modern bike. I do appreciate the look of a classic as well but given the option of which I would own if I could only have one bike, well it would be a State of the art, modern bike.

I understand what you are saying cardiac, but I like the NASCAR look. I understand why some people don't like that look. Everyone has there own tastes, and mine is the NASCAR Look. Like in this thread the pic above of the Bianchi apeals to me 1000 times more than the Waterford.
