Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What's your favorite crankset?

So to go along with the lowest gear thread, let's have on for cranks.

Vote away.

I used to have the 'ol 53-39, but I started racing and had to go down to a 52, and I changed the low to a 44 for kicks.

So short story shorter; 52-44

::EDIT:: Ultegra 6600 cranks

I have a triple, but sometime in the not-too-distant future I think I'm going to graduate to a 52-39.

I'm not strong enough to push a standard double, therefore I run a compact double with 50/34 rings.

Cranks? Ya mean chain rings, right?

52/42 Biopace, Shimano 600 cranks in the 175mm flavor.

(7-speed cluster, 11-26, and I know you didn't ask. )
