Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cannondale SystemFix(ie)

Stolen from FGG: https://fixedgeargallery.com/2007/may...iahJohnson.htm

Cannondale SystemSix converted to fixie. I don't know how I feel about turning such a high end roadie into a fixie, but it is DAAAAMN fine with the blue/carbon and black anodized Hollowgram cranks:

+1. Horizontal dropouts, no drilling for brakes, no cable stops, no derailleur hanger... If that's a conversion it was done by someone who really knows what they're doing.

I guess conversion is the wrong word. The guy works for Cannondale, so it was a one-off custom project.

And I would guess those are the Hollowgram SL cranks that will be on the SuperSIX. That is one sweet ass bike.

He's pushing 53x16 on that thing, so I'm sure the beefy headtube junction comes in handy when he's really givin' it.

I don't really dig it aesthetically. Dude needs to raise the nose on the saddle too. It's probably a really great riding track bike though.
