Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Specialized finally with a good TT bike?

Well I had heard about this a while back...and the owner of my LBS who is a triguy got to ride this bike at interbike. Full carbon TT bike...redesigned for better aerodynamics. Sort of Ugly but it isn't how it looks.

Anyone have other details? This photo is ripped from a blog linked in the SS/FG forum as he also has photos of the new Lnagsters...which are pretty much horrible.

Right click, get the URL, and paste in your browser. In the 08 catalog, they have the S-Works in Gerolsteiner and Quick Step liveries. Gorgeous.

I saw the frame in store on the computer too. It looked rather nice. P3'ish read end with a slightly different "raised" front end. That whole cover the stem deal. It looks funky, but I like it.

I have no idea how it performs, but in my opinion, that is one seriously ugly bike.

Yes, those chainrings are beautiful, but'll definitely cost an arm or leg. -_-

Those are the worst looking wheels ever made. It's as if someone just put a Tarmac in photoshop, and stretched it.

That saddle position doesn't look legal to me.

I don't know why, but that is one of my favorite looking bikes i've ever seen! Whenever my P2SL bites it, that's what's replacing it.

It doesn't have to be, it's a triathlon bike.

I always wince a bit when I look into threads on new TT bikes. I just bought a P2C this past Summer. The advances in frame design and technology for TT is really coming quickly and making me a bit intimidated. Hidden brakes for example. What next? I really love my P2 and will hate to see it go; however, the way things are going, I'll probably need to unload it within a couple of years to stay competitive.

i dont think the brakes are hidden, i have a copy of the sneal preveiw book at work, and the comp level atleast has normal brakes out front.
one of them looks like it comes with zipp wheels. I can't wait

Yeak, really horrid. I think Specialized went over the line with this one. Its one thing to aspire to be a trendsetter in the bike industry its another to produce bikes like this one that are to TT bikes what Vanilla Ice was to music.
.....Or is this photoshopped? (Still having a hard time beliving this one was real!)
