Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

You know who has a surprisingly cool team kit? Team Rock. The Rock & Republic guys. I saw them at Joe Martin Stage Race a couple of weeks ago. Don't remember how many guys they had there, but there weren't many. 5 or 6 max. I guess because their main sponsors are R & R (very expensive designer chick jeans) and Cadillac, they roll in style even if they don't podium. Can't find a pic of them (or their bad arse team cars) but they were cool looking, nonetheless. Just take my word for it.

Oh, and A & F were at the same race. Their kits were "just okay" when compared to TR.

And while I'm wasting precious key strokes telling you about a minor team's neat-o looking kit, might I also add some equally important info about these guys...

One of the main riders, whose name currently escapes me but isn't particularly germane anyway, owns three tattoo shops in LA and is covered from neck to ankle in tattoos. Dude definitely stood out in the peloton. ALSO, they had another guy on the team for a while who had a full face tattoo like a Maury (sp?) warrior. He got dumped, though. Not sure why.

How do I know all this incredibly useful info? I worked registration and spoke with their manager.

I think that is the team my LBS wrench was working with over the last few weeks. He got hired by them for their most recent tour of the southern state races.

I think they've had several color combos throughout the year already.

Rock & Republic actually wear a new and different kit to each race. Pretty tight.

AND they roll up to the race venues in Escalades sittin on spinning dubs! Well, I'm exagerating a lil bit with the spinning dubs, but cadillac is a sponsor. I wonder why they're not riding those caddy bikes that are being sold at costco.

Back to the OP . . . Jittery Joes had a special camo kit last year that they brought out for Tour of Georgia.
