I like Looks and run 3 pair on 3 roadies. To be honest I haven't ridden other brands but haven't felt the need to either. Switched around 1990. I think I only fell over once and it was in grass
Any clipless pedal can be expensive but my wife uses the Nashbar brand Look lookalikes and is happy and they're only around 30$ or so. I agree with others about the virtues of having some float.

I took it a part, and found that it was really a cheap piece of junk, after all.
Hmmmn
My wife hasn't been riding much as we're currently expecting a family addition
Once she starts riding again I'll keep an eye on those pedals. I was going to mention in my first post that eBay is full of used Looks. I bought a pair once for +/- 30$ and am happy with them. In fact just got off them about an hour ago.

Obviously I pushed the wrong click somewhere. And I thought I was experienced with message boards!
