Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I love it....I have over 1500 miles on it and I couldn't be happier. It handles great, it does what I tell it to....no more no less! Done a 200 mile ride on it and it so fun to just whip around! Looking to get new wheels now..

I really like your bike. Just wondering but where do you find open box returns? Just search for it? Is it an individual seller or some store?

You go to Amazon Warehouse Deals. The trick is not to buy it right away but wait a bit since they lower the price each day the product isn't sold. When it was first listed the price was $1305 and I told myself that if it fell below $1000 I would buy it. Lo and behold 6 days later it was $940! The only caveat is that there is no way to know if someone else is eyeing the same product so if you wait too long they could snap it up from right under your nose. Aesthetically its a nice bike (minus the long a** steerer tube - gonna get it cut eventually) but from a performance standpoint I find it lacking. It's a good deal at the price that I bought it but if you are thinking about paying the MSRP ($1800) I think a Specialized Allez or CAAD10 would be the better option.

Thanks. I've never heard of that link before but I will check it out. I assume the number of offers means the number of sellers of that particular bike?

Yeah pretty much. Whenever I want to purchase expensive toys and gadgets I always check Amazon warehouse - they always have ridiculous markdowns for minor cosmetic blemishes. Good luck I hope you manage to snag a good deal!

Yea. It's a MEC bike, Ghost, a German company to be specific. I love it. It rides great.

Here's my one and only. It may not be fancy, but it's solid, rides like a dream, and makes me happy.

Finally picked up my backup bike on Friday and rode it over the weekend. At 15.13lb with pedals, bottle cages, garmin mount, and light mount, I'm pretty impressed for an aluminum bike. The geo and fit are identical to my main bike and the weight penalty is only 1.26lb, so I think this one will get racing duty just due to replacement cost if something happens.

Nice. Keep an eye on the wheels. I had those and they cracked at multiple eyelets.

Thanks mister!

I had read that from several different forum members in my research before I bought the bike. That was one of the first things I checked. So far so good. They roll true and solid.

My brother snatched up my set and had them trued and currently rides them without any issues even though they are cracked. He also weighs about a buck when wet.

Thought it would be fun to post this, got this bike a year ago on the 18th from a coworker for $100, I've logged a lot of time on this thing. I've completed a century and competed in my first race. As for the updates, I got different bars, stem, and quill to threadless converter. I have the original wheels still, but picked up this extra set for $25, i do like the look but not sure they are any better otherwise.

Bikes: Felt F75(2014), Specialized Langster(2009). In the past I have owned a 2013 Felt F5 and a Schwinn Phocus 1400. I'm still looking for my stolen Giant Revel 1.

My latest road bike Felt F75. I didn't realize Merlin Cycles was practically giving them away when I bought it but oh well. It rides really nice and the 105 shifting isn't half bad.
