Can't decide if I love or hate the Leonardo Da Vinci one.

I saw one of these at R&A, I think. The graphics are completely blurry and pixelated... enough to make a designer like me hang his head in shame. I won't even appraoch Colnago's complete lack of aesthetic sensibility on this one, but I would have expected that the technical execution be worthy of the brand. |
Hey, I would do buy-it-now for $1750 on that blue Ebay Colnago, just so I can tell my non-bike friends I ride an ASSO.
That Pinarello looks great. Any Italian bike with any tricolore paint scheme looks great to me. |

My LBS had one sitting around for a about a year...I'm pretty sure a collector left it there to be shown off. It was okay up close but I couldn't imagine walking into a shop and saying "man I want a colnago and gee do you have one that is painted up with random crap that is reminiscent of DaVinci?" but then again I dont' see myself ever walking into a shop and wanting a Colnago...they just don't do it for me except for the all steel Master series |
Agreed, the Masters were gorgeous - one of my friends had one. Anyway, how do you like your Pegoretti? I just read an interview in Rouleur 5 with Dario Pegoretti, good interview from a great builder.

I absolutely love my Pegoretti! I've put almost 5000 miles on it in about a year and a quarter....the only draw back is that it is heavy. Even with mostly record components and some decently light wheels my 56 cm comes in at 20lbs. Doesn't matter though because at 225 lbs I don't need a 15 lbs bike. |
