Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Dammit. I've been found out. I'd better tell the hospital to fire me. It'll give me more time to ride, anyway...

^^ Oh well, if some particular psycho wanted to check up on it, they could take one of my race photos, look up the number from that race, find out my name and USCF license number, and google me. A couple of my publications come up. I also show up on the AMA's DoctorFinder and the DC Medical Board.

I put a lot of work into my fake identity.

Well, surely my life is a fantasy - when you think of it, how surreal.

1. I have two full time cooks and housekeepers - neither is my wife - full time gardner and now a fulltime mechanic. (truth - twenty workers)
2. I live in paradise where biking is a joy everyday
3. I am nearly 50 but can drop all the locals like a ripe coconut
4. Planting 20+ thousand trees per year (okay, not me, others)
5. Ride horses nearly as often as I read bikes.

Boy with Joe and Heather be surprised when they come to visit to find out that I live in a shack in the jungle...
