Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just two and and a half hours

until I pick up my new road bike. I find that at least half of my riding is on the road, so after a lot of shopping around I decided to purchase a Rivendell Redwood bicycle. I'm over 6' 5" and was having problems finding a comfortable fit. The Redwood was perfect, and I loved the fact that I didn't have to buy the largest size that it comes in.

Can't wait to pick it up on the way home tonight and take it for an extended spin.

The ride was great! Mostly a shakedown ride, tweaking the seat a bit trying to get the exact fit. But wow, what a difference from riding my Mt. Bike on the road. Really felt like I was flying
