Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lightest Rim Strips Available or Large Size Rim Plugs?

Hi, my Spinergy Stealth PBO wheelset has larger spoke holes, so Velocity Veloplugs don't fit... (I'm bummed, two wheel's worth for my spoke count weighed only 6g!!!)

Anyone know what the lightest rim strips available are and where I can buy them (also how much they weigh)?

Additionally, if anyone knows of any plugs designed for larger spoke hole wheelsets, I would appreciate any info on those as well.

Thanks a bunch...

Never mind, think I figured out a solution...

The Veloplugs covered the holes, they were just too small to "click" into them and stay put.

I solved this by cutting small pieces of electrical tape to cover the plugs and hold them in place... total extra weight from the electrical tape was less than a gram, and that's both wheels...

Total job done for both wheels is still under 7 grams...

Yes, I am ******** about some stuff.

I was going to recommend ROX rim strips, but sounds like you're covered. Enjoy.
